THE GOAL OF COMPUTER CLASS IS FOR EVERYONE
TO BE SAFE, LEARN AND HAVE FUN!

As the Technology Teacher, my goal is to provide the best education according to the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards for Technology, ISTE National Educational Technology Standards and the Office of Schools for Diocese of Metuchen in a safe and fun atmosphere.

My expectation of the student is that he/she follows the classroom/lab procedures, participates in class and asks for help when needed.

My expectation of the parent is that we work together in providing only the best education and support for the student.

Computer Class Procedures

Computer class will be in the computer laboratory, homeroom classroom or cafeteria. In order for the student to be successful, he/she must:

1. Walk quietly whenever going to or from computer/STEAM class.
2. Touch the computer apparatus with clean hands only.
3. Listen for the teacher’s instructions and follow directions.
4. Sit properly in assigned seat – Both chair and feet are flat on the floor.
Chairs are neatly pushed under the desk at the end of class.
5. Keep hands, feet and any objects to yourself.
6. Stay in your seat at all times. Line up only when instructed by the teacher.
7. Raise your hand to speak.  Speak only when the teacher calls on you.
8. Follow the teacher's quieting technique and listen when others are speaking.
9. Show respect to others, the computer apparatus, and all school property.
10. Come to class prepared, ready to learn and always do your best.

Note: These procedures apply anytime the student is participating during Computer and STREAM learning times.
